Delivery Profiles
A delivery profile is a set of shipping options and additional services that you assign to your products. It includes information such as the country from which the order will be shipped, shipping costs, available delivery countries, extra services, and more.
To configure delivery options for your store, you can choose between two types of delivery profiles:
General Profile
This unique profile applies by default to all your products when calculating delivery costs, both in the cart and at checkout. It is set up with weight ranges, where each weight tier is associated with a fixed rate.
Custom Profiles
These profiles allow you to adapt delivery rates to specific product characteristics that require special shipping conditions not covered by the general profile. You can create as many custom profiles as needed. Each custom profile can be configured either per unit (with a rate for the first item and an additional rate for each extra item) or by weight range, similar to the general profile.
Setting Up Your General Delivery Profile
To set up your store’s general profile, click on the button
Currently, only the general weight-based delivery profile is available. You can define weight tiers and the rates associated with each tier. Delivery fees will be calculated based on the total weight of the cart.
Within this general profile, you can define multiple delivery options for each geographic delivery area. For example, you could offer:
- 🇫🇷 standard and express delivery for France
🌎 but only standard delivery for the rest of the world
Creating a Custom Delivery Profile
If you have products with specific delivery costs not covered by your general profile (e.g., bulky or fragile items), you can add custom delivery profiles. To create a custom delivery profile, click on the button
A custom delivery profile can define
a rate by weight tier as in the general profile
or a per-unit rate. In this case, you define a base rate for the first unit and an additional cost for each extra unit of the same item.
In the cart, items with the same custom delivery profile will be grouped, and delivery fees will be calculated based on the total combined weight or total number of units, depending on the custom profile type. This means that their weight is excluded from the cart's total weight when calculating delivery fees for items under the general profile. Each total is calculated separately.
Associating a Delivery Profile with a Product
For each product in your store, you can assign a custom delivery profile at the bottom of the product creation or editing form. Simply select the desired delivery profile from the dropdown menu.
A product must be associated with at least one delivery profile to be available for purchase. If you have configured a general delivery profile for your store, it will automatically apply to all your products.
Example
You sell flower bouquets 💐 and potted plants 🪴. Since your potted plants are heavier than your flower bouquets, their shipping costs will be higher.
You can create a general weight-based delivery profile that applies across the entire store:
Weight tiers profile
and multiple custom delivery profiles to account for the specific shipping needs of potted plants (fragility and different shipping requirements)

Each profile will have customized delivery fees that reflect the shipping cost of the item.
